Have you heard of the tale of the plague? One so elusive and wicked, told from mothers to daughters and granddaughters and further?

In the woods there resides a doctor of the old, one foretold to have helped kept sickness from the town and the darkness from consuming the people whole. This doctor wore a mask to hide disfigurement, came hermit in the woods of arbor and of height. 

Should you wander too far into the woods, past the thickets, and through the meadows, you will find yourself in front of the Doctor's abode. 

The Doctor, driven mad since the last plague, will creep out from their home to tiptoe to your steps. They will bear a mad grin behind the mask and ask those unfortunate to come across their home:

"Would you like to have a check-up?"

Frightening, horrific! Don't ever say yes! For if you do, the mad Doctor will snatch you away from the forest and into the home never to come out the same again!

The only way you may deter the Mad Doctor is through apples, yes- Apples! Should there be an apple in your hand? Chuck it! Toss it! Right at the Mad Doctor's own head!

Should you hear the doctor's agony should you run! Only then can you escape the Doctor's grasp.

Only then do apples keep the doctors away.
